By suburban railway<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Central Railway Station (OSE) is located in the city center. From the Central Railway Station there is the Suburban Railway (Proastiakos) that runs every one hour and connects the town of Kastelokampos (10 min. walking from the Stavropoulos Students Residence), Rio and the University of Patras. The ticket cost is 1.40 Euros\/ trip and 1 euro\/ trip for students. There is also a monthly student card, which costs 10 Euros for students. Passengers with bicycles may carry them onto the Proastiakos.<\/p>\n

The Proastiakos runs every 1 hour between 06.30 \u2013 22.30 and the daily route starts from St. Andreas \u2013 Patras \u2013 Kastelokampos \u2013 Hospital \u2013 University and every 1 hour between 07.00 \u2013 23.00 the return route University \u2013 Hospital \u2013 Rio \u2013 Kastelokampos \u2013 Patras \u2013 St. Andreas.<\/p>\n

From Kastelokampos Railway Station, the OSE bus takes the passengers to Hospital, the University and vise versa.<\/p>\n

By car<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The University is about 8 km from the city of Patras. Starting from the centre of Patras, drive till the end of Korinthou Street,. Then, take the right lane onto Panepistimiou Street till the end and after the indoor Athletic stadium \u201cDimitrios Tofalos\u201d you take a right turn at the traffic lights, following the signs \u201cUniversity of Patras\u201d.<\/p>\n

By bus<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The Number 6 bus for Rion, which leaves from the bus terminal that is located downtown, on\u00a0Amalias Street<\/strong>, near the\u00a0Intercity Bus Station (KTEL) <\/strong>runs every ten to fifteen minutes and connects the University with the city. Since some buses go directly to the town of Rion, by passing the campus, it is advisable to ask before boarding if the specific bus goes to the Panepistimio (University).<\/p>\n

  • Bus lines #6 and #9<\/strong> connect downtown Patras with the University Campus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    By taxi<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    From the bus or train station, a taxi ride to the University takes 10 to 30 minutes<\/strong>, depending on traffic.<\/p>\n

    There are about one thousand taxis available in the city of Patras. Many taxis work on a 24-hour basis. You can hire a taxi at a taxi stand. Taxis can also be requested by telephone using one of the following numbers 1300, 2610 346700, 2610 450000<\/p>\n
